Mee Goreng, meaning fried noodles, is a dish commonly found in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. It is made with yellow noodles fried with ingredients such as chillies, eggs, prawn, chicken and sometimes squid. It is garnished with cucumber and tomato slices, sometimes with a dash of lime. The noodles may come in either a yellow or red version. The noodles appear bright red due to the tomato sauce used.
